The 2014 season had plenty of highs and lows for Luke Stewart and his Sydenham, Ontario based team. The highlight of the season came on Saturday, May 31st as Luke scored his career best finish of 2nd. It was the only top five finish of the season. Stewart also had 11 top 10 finishes along the way.
Although the 2014 regular season is over, Stewart does have a couple events planned before we close the curtain on another year. Luke will be in action next Saturday, September 20th at Brighton Speedway for their annual Applefest Shootout Weekend DIRTcar 358 Modified Series race. The final event of the year is tentatively set for the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals on October 17th and 18th.
“It was a struggle at times this season, but we did have some good runs”, says Stewart. “We really enjoy working with Jerry Higbie and these Hig-Fab cars, and it is just a matter of time before we get it figured out and run a little more consistent at the front”.
Luke would like to thank all of his sponsors for their generosity and support during the 2014 racing season. They include Fort Glass, M.A. Barr Service Station Maintenance, RW Electric, McCoy Bus Tours, Penny Blake of Remax Realty Kingston, Southeastern Telecommunication Services, Number One Speed Equipment, Stewart Speed Supplies and Finish Line Web Design. Also a very special thanks goes out to Wayne and Donna Smith for all of their support. We thank you all for your support and look forward to the 2014 season.

Luke Stewart Earns Fourth Consecutive Top Ten Finish at Brockville Speedway
The 2014 season has been a year of consistency for Luke Stewart and his race team. After a DNF on opening night, Stewart has posted top 10 finishes at Brockville in 8 of 9 events to date, including his fourth consecutive top ten this past Saturday night.
Stewart opened the night at Brockville on Saturday with a fourth place finish in his qualifying heat race. He started the 30 lap main event from the fourth position and maintained a top five result through the opening half of the race. As the final laps counted down, the handling started to go away on Stewart’s car and slid back to an eighth place finish.
“The car was pretty good at the start of the race”, says Stewart. “This Hig-Fab car has been great to work with, and we continuing to learn more each week. Hopefully we can keep running consistent and finish the season out strong”.
Stewart will return to the BOS this Saturday night looking to continue his string of top ten finishes. He is currently ninth overall in the BOS 358 Modified point standings going into the final week of July.

The 2014 racing season continues to be a season of learning for Luke Stewart and his team. They were back at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night looking for another strong finish after a few rough weeks.
After finishing fourth in his qualifying heat race at Brockville on Saturday night, Luke Stewart returned to the pit area to make some adjustments before heading back to the track later in the evening for the 30 lap main event. Stewart started from inside the second row in the third position and was just outside the top five when Luke got caught up in a lap 11 incident that brought out the red flag. After being towed to the pit area, Luke returned after quick repairs, and was back on the track at the rear of the field. Luke continued on, and salvaged a 7th place finish.
“It was another frustrating night here, but we salvaged a top ten finish out of it”, says Stewart after the race. “This Hig-Fab car is working well, we just need to get a little more consistent and not get caught up in these wrecks like we did tonight”.

Luke Stewart Scores Career Best Finish With Second Place Result at Brockville Ontario Speedway
Coming off back to back top ten performances at Brockville Speedway, Luke Stewart was confident that they could keep the momentum going as they returned to the BOS this past weekend.
Luke started the night off strong with an impressive win in his qualifying heat race. In the 30 lap main event, he started from the front row and took the lead early, holding the top spot for the opening 20 laps of the race before getting passed by a 10 time Brockville Speedway champion. Luke finished in second place, scoring his best career finish to date.
“We are real happy with that run tonight”, says Stewart after the race. “This Hig-Fab car continues to get better each and every week, and we are excited about that. A win would have been nice, but to finish second to Danny (O’Brien) is something that we all can be proud of, and hopefully we can build on this throughout the season”.
This coming weekend, Stewart will be back in action at Brockville Speedway on Saturday night. After four events, Stewart is currently in the top 10 in points, and with very few point separating him from a coveted top five position.

Luke Stewart Scores First Top 10 Finish of 2014 at Brockville Ontario Speedway; Will Return to the BOS This Weekend Looking for More
After a disappointing start to the 2014 season last week, Luke Stewart was determined to return this week with much better results. A mechanical failure sidelined Luke early on opening night and with the issues resolved during the week, they were back in business and ready to take on the BOS this past Saturday night.
Luke started on the front row of his qualifying heat race, and held the second position until midway through the race where he lost a little ground. He crossed the line with a fifth place result. In the 30 lap main event, Stewart maintained a top 10 position throughout the event and crossed the finish line with a 10th place result.
“We are not quite where we want to be with this car yet, but we are getting there”, says Stewart after the race. “These Hig-Fab cars are great to drive, and Jerry (Higbie) continues to be great to work with. “We keep working away at it and we will get this car dialed in”.
Stewart will return to Brockville Speedway this Saturday night looking to improve on last week’s top 10 result. After two events, Stewart is currently 12th in track points and only 16 markers back of the top 10.
