When the 2013 racing season gets underway in just a few months time, Luke Stewart will have a brand new chassis in his arsenal. Stewart picked up their car at Hig-Fab in Goshen, New York over the Christmas holidays, and will be spending some time in the shop putting the car together and getting it ready for the upcoming season.
Hig-Fab is owned and operated by veteran racer Jerry Higbie, who races regularly at Orange County Fair Speedway during the season and is the reigning track champion at that track. His chassis are becoming more popular throughout the northeast with successful drivers such as Higbie himself, and Steve Paine.
“We are very excited to work with Jerry Higbie and his Hig-Fab chassis”, says Luke Stewart. “We are looking forward to getting the season started, and hopefully we can have our best year to date. I really have to thank Jerry (Higbie) for all his help, and hopefully we can help him by having a great year”.
The team has some big plans for the 2013 season, hoping to race two nights a week, and follow the Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified Series if they can secure enough sponsorship to do so. What tracks they will end up racing at has yet to be decided.
