The 2013 season has been a learning experience for Luke Stewart and his Sydenham, Ontario based team. They are utilizing a 2013 Hig-Fab chassis, and have been learning every week the characteristics of the car on different track conditions at both Mohawk Raceway and Brockville Speedway.
On Saturday night, Luke was back at Brockville looking for a strong finish. With just a few weeks left in the regular season, Stewart is looking to finish the year strong, and solidify his position amongst the top ten in track points. The night started off with a second place finish in the qualifier, and after a few adjustments he was ready for the 30 lap main event. After leading the first couple laps, Stewart soon settled into fourth place and maintained that position through lap ten. Through the remaining 20 laps, Luke continued to hold a top five position, and crossed the finish line with his best finish of the season with a solid fifth place result.
“We are very happy with the way this Hig-Fab car worked tonight”, says Stewart after the race. “Jerry Higbie and his staff have been great to work with, and together we are working hard at getting this car more consistent here at Brockville”.
This coming weekend, Luke will be back in action at Brockville Speedway on Saturday. We invite everyone to stop by the Finish Line Web Design merchandise trailer located behind the main grandstand at Brockville Speedway to purchase your Luke Stewart t-shirts.
