After
starting the 2012 season at Brockville Speedway, Luke Stewart and his team
decided they needed a change of scenery.
The switched their Saturday night program to Can Am Motorsports Park in
Lafargeville, New York and have scored top ten finishes in both weeks since
making the change.
Last
Saturday night, Luke finished with a respectable 9th place finish,
and returned this week, looking to improve on that. Luke ended the night with a solid performance, crossing the
finish line in seventh place.
“I
always have enjoyed racing at Can Am.
It is a big track, and there is lots of room here”, says Stewart after
the race. “We were getting a little
discouraged earlier in the year, and we felt like we had to make a change, and
we decided to come here for the rest of the season”.
In
addition to Can Am, Stewart will also run Mohawk International Raceway on
occasion throughout the remaining events at the track in 2012. Stewart is still a rookie to 358 Modified
racing, is having a solid year, with five top ten finishes in just 13 events this
season. Over the remaining few weeks of
the season, Stewart hopes to make it inside the top five at Can Am, and build
finish the year out strong.
Luke would like to thank all of his sponsors going into the
2012 racing season. They include Fort
Glass, M.A. Barr Service Station Maintenance, RW Electric, McCoy Bus Tours,
